In the US, 63-year-old Duane "Keffe D" Davis, found guilty of orchestrating the murder of rapper Tupac Shakur, has been sentenced to life in prison. He will be eligible for parole after 40 years. Tupac Shakur was shot while traveling in a car in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996. The 25-year-old rapper, struck by four bullets, died in the hospital six days later. According to investigators, the shooting occurred following a brawl inside a Las Vegas casino between Davis's nephew and Shakur's associates. Davis was found guilty of organizing the attack in retaliation. He was arrested in 2023 and has indicated he will appeal the sentence. The person who actually fired the shots at Shakur has never been officially identified. The other three individuals who were in the car with Davis have also since died.
