TikTok, blocked in Uzbekistan, has registered as a tax payer

TikTok PTE LTD company (Singapore) is registered as a tax payer in Uzbekistan. This is noted in the database of the Tax Committee. The fee for services now includes 12 percent VAT. In July 2021, the opening of TikTok and Twitter in Uzbekistan slowed down. On July 2, the use of some social networks, in particular, TikTok, was officially restricted. In February 2022, it was proposed to completely block TikTok in Uzbekistan. On March 16, 2022, Twitter and TikTok started working in Uzbekistan without VPN applications. However, soon access to social networks was again restricted. On March 25, 2022, Skype began to open freely in Uzbekistan. It has also been included in the registry of violators of laws on citizens' personal information, like TikTok and Twitter. At the moment, only TikTok remains in the register of violators of the rights of personal data subjects.
