In its daily report, the British Ministry of Defense analyzed the Victory Parade held on Red Square of the Kremlin the day before. According to British sources, the parade clearly showed that the Russian army is experiencing difficulties in terms of both technical equipment and strategic issues in the 15-month war in Ukraine. More than 8,000 soldiers were reported to have taken part in the parade, but most of them were paramilitary forces and cadets rather than active duty army personnel. The only military units that actually marched through Red Square were the railway troops and the military police. Specialists of the British Ministry of Defense were surprised by the participation of the only old T-34 tank in the parade. "The Russian Federation could 'maintain its military capabilities despite losses in Ukraine,' but the Kremlin fears domestic criticism for prioritizing parades over military operations," the report said.
