An Nahar of Lebanon denied the news that a living person had been found under rubble near the Syria—Turkey border, more than three months after the February 6 earthquake. Such a message is “Akhbar.fouri " portal, which shows the image of a man who survived the earthquake.

The portal claims that the photograph depicts Ahmad al-Susiy, a 1984 native of Khan Shaykhun in Idlib governorate. His cousin gave the photo to the publication and wanted to draw people's attention to Susie, who was bedridden, and through this he wanted to raise money for her treatment.

An Nahar newspaper managed to contact the patient's brother, who confirmed that Ahmad as-Susi is now residing in the Kfar Jelis refugee camp, where his condition is critical. According to him, “Akhbar.fouri", which was taken about seven years earlier, was due to psoriasis (non-infectious skin disease) rather than the fact that wounds on his brother's body remained under the rubble for three months.

Earlier, the portal reported that a Syrian who was rescued on may 16 was allegedly taken to a local hospital and was under the supervision of doctors, he would undergo a long rehabilitation.

Speaking at the Syrian people's Council (Parliament) on 7 may, Prime Minister Hussein Arnus reported on the aftermath of the earthquake. He said 225,000 families were injured in the February 6 natural disaster, 1,414 were killed, 2,367 were injured, and 1,553 were rescued from under the rubble. “The total number of victims exceeded 1 million, those who lost their homes were placed in 32 centers for temporary residence,” the prime minister said.

According to Arnus, after a technical examination it was determined that more than 9,000 of the 216,000 buildings in the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia had become uninhabitable and had to be demolished.
