The election campaign has been started

Earlier, it was reported that the Decree on the holding of the presidential election before the deadline was signed. According to it, the early election of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held on July 9, 2023. A meeting of the Central Election Commission was held today, May 10. It was announced at the meeting that the election campaign will start today. The establishment of constituencies is scheduled until May 15, and the establishment of polling stations is scheduled for May 25. In addition, a unified electronic list of voters will be created. Political parties must apply to the Central Election Commission within 3 days after the announcement of the election campaign to register their authorized representatives. To participate in the election, the parties must submit documents by May 15. Presidential candidates will be nominated between May 17 and June 1.
