It was reported that some restrictions on the use of the flag of Uzbekistan may be lifted. On June 20, deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the House of Commons passed the corresponding bill.
In order to further simplify the relationship with the use of the state flag, to expand the possibility of using it in strict accordance with the law, a bill was drafted by a group of Deputies “on amendments and additions to the law of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
It provides to allow the use of the state flag in sports competitions, mass physical education events, cultural and other public events, family holidays, celebrations of commemorative dates, and in other cases also providing the necessary respect for the flag.
Treating the symbol of the state with the necessary respect, it is established that it and the signs with its image can be used in public places and buildings, in living or working areas, and in areas adjacent to them, in the salon of vehicles.
It is also intended to establish a legal basis for the use of symbols with the image of the state flag on the symbols of state bodies (flag, heraldic sign) and on their official websites, as well as to provide an opportunity to reflect the image of the state flag for the purpose of decorating the upper garment.
It is established to allow the use of the state flag and the symbols with its image in the following cases — in the use of individuals and legal entities representing the Republic of Uzbekistan at official international events, in the use of clothing and distinctive insignia by persons in the military or other civil service, and in the preparation of sportswear for international sports competitions and
At the same time, cases are clearly defined in which disrespect towards the flag of the state is not allowed to be divided.
The passage of the bill, deputies say, expands the possibilities of seeing the flag of our state on central streets, squares, other public places and objects, not only on festive days, but also in everyday life, to be proud of it and makes it a symbol of national pride.
