Doniyor Qodirov has been appointed Acting Governor of the Syrdarya Region.

Doniyor Qodirov has been appointed Acting Governor of the Syrdarya Region.
Prior to this appointment, Qodirov served as the Head of the Department for Public Security and the Rule of Law within the Presidential Administration. He had also previously held various leadership positions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Erkinjon Turdimov, who had been serving as the Governor of the Syrdarya Region, was appointed First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Science on October 9.
