Special socio-emotional study hours are introduced in schools in Uzbekistan

According to the presidential decree "On measures to further develop the mental health care service of the population" signed on June 19 in Uzbekistan, special socio-emotional study hours will be introduced in schools.

According to the document, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, together with the Ministry of Health, will help students develop self-management skills, overcome difficult life situations, and prevent depression, anxiety and suicide. special socio-emotional training hours will be launched.

Social Emotional Learning, SEL is organized within the existing subjects and extracurricular processes in the school curriculum in general secondary educational institutions.

Also, by the end of 2023, the action program of the World Health Organization to provide support for mental disorders will be put into practice in primary medical institutions.

Based on it:

early detection and treatment of mental disorders are taken at the primary level of medicine;
the skills and knowledge of doctors and other medical staff of primary medical institutions on clinical assessment, treatment and monitoring of mentally disturbed persons will be developed.
Measures will also be taken to strengthen children's mental health and improve children's psychoneurological services.
