Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Shaikhontohur district of Tashkent city in order to get acquainted with the living conditions and creative activities of the residents. This was reported by the President's press service.

According to the report, the head of state first visited the career guidance center established in the "Samarkand Gate" neighborhood. Here, young people and women are taught modern professions in the fields of trade, marketing, finance, and information technologies. Later, they will be helped to find a high-paying job. The surroundings of the center were beautified, fences were installed, and vines were planted.

Measures to reduce poverty and ensure employment of the population were presented here. At the meeting held on May 10, a proposal was made to encourage potential entrepreneurs to create new jobs.

It is reported that there are 51 neighborhoods in Shaikhontohur district. There are more than a hundred highly qualified entrepreneurs. On the basis of the contract, the unemployed in the neighborhoods are attached to them. According to him, the state creates conditions, entrepreneurs train the population and provide them with work.

"It is mutually beneficial. Now many entrepreneurs want to expand their activities, everyone needs a skilled worker. Our goal is for enterprises to become a practical monocenter and train specialists in the field. For this, the state provides infrastructure, finance, and tax relief. This money will ultimately return to the economy due to the increase in jobs and the increase in the purchasing power of the population. The most important thing is that this internship will be a school of life for young people, not just work learning," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Proposals for using the tourism potential of Sheikhontohur were also considered in the presentation. It was emphasized that the mayors of the capital districts should study the experience of countries such as South Korea and Singapore.

The head of state also visited the sports and wellness complex in this center. It has an indoor pool and a gym.
