Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kahir Rasulzade, who is in Uzbekistan to participate in the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission.

According to the press service of the President, at the meeting held on May 12, issues of further strengthening of Uzbekistan-Tajikistan good-neighborly, strategic partnership and alliance relations were discussed, prospects of expanding practical cooperation were discussed.

Special attention was paid to increasing trade, promoting promising projects in energy, machine building, agriculture, transport, mining, textile, pharmaceutical and other industries.

In this sense, the importance of implementing the decisions of the meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission held on May 12 in Tashkent under the chairmanship of the prime ministers of the two countries was emphasized.
