Shavkat Mirziyoyev communicated with Lukashenko

In the phone conversation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on May 4, the issues of accelerating joint cooperation projects and ensuring the speed of trade relations were discussed. At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Belarus sincerely congratulated on the success of the referendum on amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan held on April 30 of this year. The presidents noted with satisfaction that Uzbekistan-Belarus cooperation is steadily developing. A number of bilateral events are being held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures are increasing. On the basis of the adopted "roadmap", special attention was paid to the issues of timely implementation of joint projects on industrial cooperation in machine building, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, electrical engineering and other sectors. It was emphasized that it is important to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and to continue active interregional exchanges in order to speed them up.
