Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon reviewed the implementation of the agreements reached

Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon on May 5, the press service of the head of state reports. It is noted that the leader of Tajikistan congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the success of the national referendum on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Uzbekistan. In the conversation, special attention was paid to the implementation of agreements reached at a high level. It was noted that Uzbekistan-Tajikistan strategic partnership and alliance relations are consistently strengthening, and the pace of trade and economic cooperation is increasing. The presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan noted that it is important to carefully prepare the agenda of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission and the second Regional Forum in order to accelerate the current cooperation projects and develop new directions of practical cooperation. The heads of state exchanged views on issues of regional cooperation, including preparations for the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia. The plan of future events was also considered.
