President: the Referendum showed in practice how the political consciousness, legal culture and worldview of our people rose in the following years

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is holding a meeting with members of Parliament, political parties and representatives of the public.
At the beginning of his speech, the head of state touched upon the conclusion of the referendum on the Constitution.

- You have news that on April 30 this year, a huge historical event in the life of our country, which is undoubtedly literal, took place. For the first time, we adopted our updated constitution on the basis of a nationwide referendum.

The absolute majority of our citizens who participated in the referendum proudly voted “this is my Constitution”.

The Referendum practically showed how the political consciousness, legal culture and worldview of our people rose in the following years.

Through this historical choice, our people once again showed their full support, looking with great confidence at the reforms that we started six years ago, " said the head of state.

It was noted that on the basis of such an azmu decision of our country, a solid ground was created for the sustainable development of our statehood and economy.
