President of Uzbekistan congratulated President of Kazakhstan on anniversary

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev made a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Qasim-Jomart Tokayev on may 17.
The head of our state warmly welcomed the president of Kazakhstan with his 70th birthday and wished him strong health, happiness and success, peace and prosperity for the people of the Fraternal Kazakhstan.

The contribution of Qasim-Jomart Tokayev to the development and strengthening of friendship and good neighborliness, strategic partnership and allied relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was noted separately.

Issues of implementation of high-level agreements were discussed.

The fruitful results of the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in Tashkent in early may were highly appreciated.

Practical measures taken to launch a joint foreign trade company and establish an International Center for industrial cooperation were noted.

The leaders of the two countries also exchanged views on current issues on the regional and international agenda.
