Alisher Sultanov was appointed adviser to the President of Uzbekistan on oil and gas, chemical and energy issues. "Gazeta.uz" reported about it.

According to the program, Alisher Sultanov will participate in the panel session "Strategic planning of the fuel and energy complex of Uzbekistan in the context of dynamic geopolitical and geoeconomic realities".

He served as Minister of Energy from February 2019 to April 2022. In the official report, it was said that he left this position due to health reasons.

It was not announced that he was appointed to a new position. In March, there were reports on the Internet about his appointment as a presidential adviser, but "Gazeta.uz" did not confirm this news. There is no information about this in the section of the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration of the website of the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
