Candidates nominated for the presidency of Uzbekistan have been registered

UzA reports that the candidates nominated for the presidency of Uzbekistan were registered at the next meeting of the Central Election Commission held on June 5.

Ulugbek Inoyatov from the People's Democratic Party,
Movement of entrepreneurs and businessmen - Shavkat Mirziyoyev from the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan,
Robakhon Makhmudovani from the social-democratic party "Adolat" of Uzbekistan,
A decision was made to register Abdushukur Khamzayev from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan as a candidate for the presidency of Uzbekistan.
Presidential elections will be held in Uzbekistan ahead of schedule. Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced this at the meeting dedicated to the results of the referendum on May 8. Early presidential elections are scheduled to be held in Uzbekistan on July 9, 2023.

Early election of the President of Uzbekistan

On May 6, the President signed the law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan". According to the amendments made to the Election Code, if the President appoints the election of the President of Uzbekistan ahead of schedule, the election will be held within 2 months in full compliance with this Code. In this case, the Central Election Commission shall determine the terms of preparation for the election and the implementation of measures for its holding.
