The Committee on Religious Affairs warns that some people promise to perform Hajj with an Umrah visa, a tourist (pilgrimage) visa, and a business visa, which is absolutely impossible.
It is noted that a "Hajj-2023" visa is required to perform Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
According to the rules established by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the main condition for performing Hajj for foreign citizens is to have a Hajj visa. Carrying out Hajj with all other types of visas (Umrah, tourism, business, pilgrimage, etc.) is strictly prohibited according to Saudi law and will be punished accordingly.
Hajj quota allocated for Uzbekistan is allocated only to pilgrims who embarked on the Hajj journey organized by the Committee on Religious Affairs and the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan.
"Therefore, do not fall for the deception of some people who say that we will send them on a Hajj trip through Uzbekistan! They are trying to smuggle our citizens through other countries. This is an attempt by people who have no legal basis and no authority to organize Hajj. When the time comes, it should be mentioned that such actions will cause strict measures to be taken in the legislation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Uzbekistan," said the report of the Committee on Religious Affairs.
Attempting to travel to Mubarak through illegal means will result in deportation from Saudi Arabia and a 10-year ban on entering Saudi Arabia with any visa and a fine of 100,000 Saudi Riyals ($26,000).
It was reported that more than 500 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Saudi Arabia on tourist and business visas during Hajj in 2022 alone and could not enter Mashoir, the place of Hajj worship. On the eve of the Hajj season, about 1,500 of our citizens who arrived via the United Arab Emirates and Jordan with a pilgrimage (tourist) visa were not allowed into the territory of Saudi Arabia. In particular, 155 of our citizens were deported from Saudi Arabia for 10 years for violating the Royal Hajj legislation.
