A tripartite document on the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway was signed

A tripartite document on the construction of an inter-country railway was signed with the participation of the officials of China, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. This was reported by the information service of the Ministry of Transport.

It is noted that a document was signed in Xi'an between the Chinese Development and Reforms Committee, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kyrgyzstan, and the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, providing for the next stages of the railway construction project.

The parties have developed the technical and economic basis of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project and carried out a tripartite joint assessment of the technical and economic basis of the project, and later an examination is planned.

This document defines the next stages of the implementation of this project, includes the development of the construction project, the study and determination of the investment and financing model. According to preliminary forecasts, the volume of cargo transportation is 12-15 million tons per year.
