A list of certificates for foreign languages required when applying for a master's degree has been published

The draft of the order of the minister of Higher Education, Science and innovation “on approval of the list of nationally and internationally recognized certificates assessing the level of knowledge of foreign languages required in the documentation of higher educational institutions to master specialties and post-higher education specialties from the academic year 2023/2024”has been published.

The decision of the president of Uzbekistan “on measures to bring the activity of popularization of foreign language learning in Uzbekistan to a qualitatively new level”states that from the academic year 2022/2023, higher education institutions will introduce a procedure for participation of persons with a national or corresponding level international certificate in competitions to master's specialties and

It stipulates that an international certificate of national or corresponding level at least C1 is required for philological directions, and an international certificate of national or corresponding level at V2 for non-philological directions.

Since the academic year 2023/2024, the list of nationally and internationally recognized certificates assessing the level of knowledge of foreign languages required when applying to graduate specialties of higher education institutions and specialties of post-higher education is being approved.When presenting international certificates, the name of the applicant in the document must be in Latin letters and in accordance with the identity document, when applying for graduate and post-graduate education, applicants applying in the direction of philology should provide a certificate evaluating language proficiency in exactly the language of their choice, certificates assessing language proficiency should include all types of language proficiency skills (listening, reading, reading, writing and speaking).
