Iranian entrepreneurs will process raw materials from Khatlon

Heads of industrial enterprises of Iran arrived on a visit to Khatlon region, where Davlatali Said told them about investment prospects

Chairman of Khatlon region Davlatali Said held a meeting with heads of industrial enterprises of Iran.

This was reported in the press service of the head of the region.

During the negotiations, Davlatali Said told the guests about the production capabilities of Khatlon.

According to him, despite the priority direction of the development of agriculture, there are enough raw materials for processing in the region.

Thus, high quality cotton, grain, vegetables and fruits are harvested in the region.

The chairman emphasized that about 300 thousand tons of cotton are received annually in Khatlon. More than 6 thousand tons of wool are also produced, which needs to be processed.

"Part of the production as raw materials is exported abroad," he said.

In addition, the head of the region drew the attention of Iranian representatives to the excess of river water, respectively, to the prospects for the development of industry.

The Iranian side expressed its readiness to provide technical and engineering services, technology transfer and an overview of investment directions in various industries.

According to the government of the Khatlon region, Iran is one of the three largest investor countries in the region, and 18.5% of foreign investment in the region's economy falls on the Islamic Republic.

According to the government of the Khatlon region, over 30 years of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Iran, about 200 important cooperation documents have been signed, which is the basis for strengthening cooperation.
