President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of Novruz Bayram.

As the Report reports with reference to the press service of the head of state, the congratulation reads:

"Dear compatriots!

I cordially congratulate you on Novruz Bayrama, wish you all a spring mood, health and success in your future affairs.

Novruz Bayramy, which has very ancient roots in the Azerbaijani land, is a sacred gift of our ancestors to the present generations. This national holiday, which, having overcome all the trials of time, has left an indelible mark in the memory of centuries, has penetrated the depths of the spiritual world of our people since ancient times, played an important role in the formation of traditional values. The rich inner world, the wise philosophy of the life of our ancestors and their bright dreams associated with the future found full embodiment in the spring festival.

Novruz Bayrami, which has turned into a carrier of deep human feelings, has the power of renewal, and today strengthens feelings of friendship, kindness and mercy, opening the way to sincere relations between people, ensures harmony in the development of our society around a single ideology. The traditions of Novruz, which we consider an integral part of the national identity and protect from alien influences, are a high expression of our respect for spiritual riches, as well as a valuable treasure in the treasury of universal culture.

Large-scale projects being implemented on our ancestral lands, liberated at the cost of the lives and blood of martyrs, whom we always remember with gratitude, creative works that have received a wide scope and life that has once again become a key with the return of our citizens to their homes, give the current arrival of spring in the Land of Lights a special mood and symbolic significance.

I convey festive greetings to compatriots living far beyond the borders of our country, whose hearts are beating with love for the motherland and who are celebrating spring together with us.

I wish this significant holiday to bring new joy, prosperity and well-being to every home, to every hearth.

Happy Novruz holiday!".
