At the initiative of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the development of the SCO Economic Development Strategy for the period up to 2030 has begun

On March 3, the first meeting of experts to discuss the draft Economic Development Strategy of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization for the period up to 2030 was held under the chairmanship of the Tajik side. This is reported by NIAT "Khovar" with reference to the SCO Secretariat. 

The strategy outlines the main directions of promotion of investment, financial, trade and other forms of economic interaction in the SCO space.

The initiative to develop the Strategy was put forward by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dear Emomali Rahmon, at a meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States in Dushanbe on September 17, 2021 and confirmed at a meeting of the SCO SGG on September 16, 2022 in Samarkand.
