Road blocked in Surkhandarya following a rockfall

On October 24 of this year, a rockfall occurred in the Uzun district of the Surkhandarya region, blocking a roadway. According to the regional administration, the incident took place around 03:30 between the 21st and 22nd kilometers of the 75V040 highway.

Personnel from the Department of Emergency Situations, road maintenance crews, and specialized machinery were dispatched to the scene to carry out urgent clearing operations. By 07:30, the road had been completely cleared of debris, and traffic flow was restored. No injuries or casualties were reported as a result of the incident.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution when traveling through mountainous areas.
