In the US, a man taped his wife to a chair and locked her in the basement so he could watch football

In Richmond, Virginia (USA), a 64-year-old man is accused of taping his wife to a chair and keeping her in the basement for 30–45 minutes—all so he could watch football in peace.
Police arrived at the scene on October 11 following a call regarding a domestic dispute at the home. Traces of tape were found on the woman’s arms. The man admitted to tying his wife up and placing her in the basement. He was subsequently arrested and charged with kidnapping, as well as offenses related to domestic violence.
