WHO will help Kyrgyzstan modernize the healthcare sector
The meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubayev with the Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus took place in Geneva. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties discussed issues of further cooperation on the development of the healthcare sector of the republic. Jeenbek Kulubayev proposed to focus on expanding the potential of primary medical care, creating a centralized database, increasing Kyrgyzstan's resilience to emergencies, strengthening the prevention of non-communicable diseases and coronavirus.
Tedros Ghebreyesus noted that the World Health Organization will help the country with the implementation of priority tasks in the field of health system development.
The head of WHO was invited to visit Bishkek at any time convenient for him.
