We are resurrecting history. We learned how the restoration of the Khujand fortress is going on

For the fifth year in the center of Khujand, a grandiose work has been carried out on the reconstruction of the cultural and historical complex "Kalai Khuchand" (Khujand fortress). It was on this place many centuries ago that the ancient settlement with the beautiful name of Alexandria-Eskhata was located.

The cultural and historical complex "Khujand Fortress" will undoubtedly become one of the most picturesque and favorite places for tourists and guests of northern Tajikistan. About 300 people are involved in the restoration of this historical and significant landmark.

This is a whole group of designers, scientists, builders and archaeologists. Eminent architects and craftsmen are involved in the work: artists, artisans, potters, carvers.

According to the project, the complex will consist of a museum, an administrative building, a fortress wall, ancient mahallas and houses of Khujand.
