Tajik citizens are among the top three holidaymakers from abroad in Uzbekistan

The Uzbekistan Statistics Agency has published a ranking of countries, tourists from which are among the top three vacationers in the republic

Citizens of Tajikistan were among the top three among foreign guests in Uzbekistan who arrived in the republic in January-August for the purpose of recreation and leisure.

This was reported by the Uzbek Statistics Agency.

Thus, 25.1 thousand Tajik citizens came on vacation to Uzbekistan in 2023.

The top three vacationers in the country from abroad also include residents of Russia (155.5 thousand) and Kazakhstan (39.6 thousand).

At the same time, at the end of 2022, Russian tourists took 4th place in visits to the republic, behind guests from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, the statistics agency added.

Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are establishing financial partnership

Recently, the management of the regulators Amonatbank and Halk-Bank held a meeting in Dushanbe, where the parties discussed issues of establishing and strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the financial sector.
