President Ilham Aliyev: The main goal of great leader Heydar Aliyev was to ensure our territorial integrity

When the national leader began his presidential activities, Azerbaijani lands were already occupied by Armenians, as a result of which one million of our compatriots were expelled from their historical lands, and the occupied territories were destroyed.

Report informs, President Ilham Aliyev said this while accepting the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to our country Sridharan Madhusudhanan.

Noting that the main goal of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was to ensure our territorial integrity and defense capability, build a strong state and powerful economy, the head of state said: "Two and a half years ago, Azerbaijan liberated its lands from occupation, and thus dreams and the precepts of the national leader were put into practice."
