President Ilham Aliyev congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his victory in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan

On July 10, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev called the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to Report, the head of our state congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his convincing victory in the early presidential elections in Uzbekistan and wished him success in his activities. President Ilham Aliyev regarded this victory as people's support for the policy pursued in Uzbekistan under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, expressed confidence that, under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Uzbekistan would continue the path of comprehensive development in the coming years.

The President of Uzbekistan thanked for the congratulations and the attention shown.

During the telephone conversation, the presidents stressed the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between our countries in various fields, noted the importance of mutual visits and contacts between heads of state and at other levels, expressed satisfaction with the high level of implementation of the agreements reached and the decisions taken to further expand cooperation.

The heads of state held an exchange of views on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interest.

President Ilham Aliyev invited Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay a state visit to Azerbaijan. The invitation was gratefully accepted.
