Mikayil Jabbarov: Tax revenues from SMEs increased by 61%
Last year, tax revenues from small and medium-sized businesses in Azerbaijan increased by 61% compared to 2021 and reached 2.9 billion manats.
Report informs, Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov wrote about this on his Twitter.
M. Jabbarov noted that during the reporting period, the turnover of SMEs increased by 19% compared to 2021 and reached 38.8 billion manats.
"Today is the Day of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Stimulating the activities of SMEs makes an important contribution to the diversification of our economy and the development of the non-oil sector. During the period from 2018 to 2021, the number of small and medium-sized businesses in our country increased by 45% to 355 906, and its share in non-oil GDP increased from 23.5% to 26.6%. We wish our entrepreneurs continued success and achievements," the minister said.
