Media: Iranian Defense Minister will visit Tajikistan

Iranian Defense Minister General Mohammadreza Ashtiani will travel to Tajikistan.

The Iranian agency Tasnim writes about this, specifying that the head of the ministry is heading to the republic on an official visit.

It is noted that Mohammadreza Ashtiani will arrive in Dushanbe on October 17, 2023.

“On Tuesday, Iranian Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Amir Mohammadreza Ashtiani will leave for Tajikistan at the head of a high-ranking delegation,” the Iranian agency stated.

It is expected that during the visit the parties will discuss issues of cooperation in the field of security and defense.

In addition, Iran and Tajikistan will conclude defense contracts as a result of the negotiations.

Tajikistan and Iran continue to develop cooperation

Let us recall that earlier Iran expressed interest in joining the agreement of the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).

The issue of the republic’s possible entry into the IAC will be discussed by the Council of Plenipotentiary Representatives of the participating states.
