In January, the volume of retail trade turnover of Turkmenistan increased by 9.5%

Minister of Economy of Turkmenistan Khojamurat Geldimyradov reported to Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the results of work in January of this year in the field of national economy during the Cabinet meeting on February 3. This is reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

The Deputy Prime Minister reported a 6.2% increase in GDP in January 2023 compared to the same period last year. He also said in his report that the indicators of the volume of products produced in the country increased by 5.8%. The Minister informed the President about the increase in retail turnover of Turkmenistan by 9.5% and drew attention to the increase in average wages for large and medium-sized enterprises by 10%.

Positive trends were noted in all sectors of the economy. Geldimyradov also reported on the results of work towards the implementation of the National Rural Program.

The President of Turkmenistan listened to the report of the Deputy Prime Minister and gave specific instructions on further work.
