Doctors from Turkmenistan started working in Afghanistan as part of a humanitarian action

As part of humanitarian assistance, three doctors from Turkmenistan arrived in the Afghan village of Turgundi, the website of the country's foreign ministry reports.
Turkmen specialists will provide medical and advisory assistance to Afghan women and children in the maternity hospital built by Turkmenistan in 2016.
The Afghan side warmly welcomed the Turkmen doctors, who will stay in Afghanistan until the end of May.
Earlier, on May 3, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan (Herat city) completed a major overhaul in the maternity hospital, and also provided its employees with the necessary medicines and medical supplies.
“Turkmenistan, based on primordially good neighborly traditions, continues to provide assistance to neighboring Afghanistan. This, in turn, serves for the benefit of the further development of traditionally friendly, fraternal and good-neighbourly relations between the Turkmen and Afghan peoples,” the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan comments.
