Armenian provocation in Kalbajar direction prevented
On September 7, at about 07:50, illegal Armenian armed formations on the territory of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping contingent is temporarily stationed, attempted to dig new trenches in order to get closer to the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the direction of the Kelbajar region.
This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan (AR).
"As a result of urgent measures taken by the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the actions of the Armenians were immediately stopped," the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
