A unique artifact appeared in the Museum of History and Local Lore of Turkmenistan

The collection of ancient artifacts of the Historical and Local Lore Museum of mary velayat of Turkmenistan was replenished with a unique gold coin of Arabic coinage, made, according to experts, in the 6-7 centuries AD. The coin weighing 4.25 grams was handed over by a native of the city of Bayramali Ogultach Orazova. This is reported by the daily publication "Neutral Turkmenistan".

It is known that after the inclusion of the territory of modern Turkmenistan in the Arab Caliphate in the 7th century AD, the coins of the ruling dynasties became the main means of payment: gold dinars, silver dirhams, copper fels, as well as Abbasid coins with a decorative font "kufi".

The artifact in the form of an ancient coin with Arabic script is of great cultural and historical importance, since it is an irrefutable witness of the past, a material confirmation of the processes occurring many centuries ago.
