A meeting with the delegation of Iran was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov with the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran led by Soulat Mortazawi - Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Security. During the conversation, the parties noted the high level of partnership between the states, which are based on the principles of equality and mutual respect.

The diplomats emphasized the importance of bilateral contacts at the highest level, in particular, the dialogue between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran, in strengthening effective cooperation.

At the meeting, the topic of intensifying partnerships in the field of energy, transit and transport was touched upon. Rashid Meredov stressed the importance of increasing the volume of mutual trade. The positive dynamics of trade turnover growth was also noted.
