Uzbekistan and US to strengthen cooperation in Afghan direction

Ismatulla Ergashev, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan, held talks with the US ambassador, Jonathan Henick.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation in Afghanistan, prospects for the development of Uzbek-American dialogue in the Afghan direction.

The ambassador highly appreciated the policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan on providing humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. The importance of closer cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States in the peaceful resolution of the Afghan problem was emphasized.
