In an interview with religious figures, the President pointed out the need to develop religious education and research centers.

According to the press service of the head of state, surahs from the Koran and a prayer for the repose of the souls of the deceased, granting peace and prosperity to the country were read in the mausoleum.
"Today we came to Bukhara to set new goals, to improve the well-being of people. May the Almighty help us in all our endeavors," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
In a conversation with religious figures, the need for the development of religious education and the fight against ignorance through education was emphasized.
"In recent years, an atmosphere of openness and freedom has been established in the religious sphere, as in all others, and we have organized several research centers. But what is the use of this for our people? In order to benefit our people, it is necessary that society knows about this potential," the president said.
He added that ignorance should be combated with enlightenment, relying on the legacy of such enlighteners as Bukhari, Maturidi, Marghinani.

"To do this, it is necessary to link religious education with practice, to turn our scientific centers into world leaders," the head of state stressed.
