At the second meeting of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC) held in Samarkand, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio acknowledged the reforms implemented by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as the work of Saida Mirziyoyeva.
Rubio noted that cooperation between the United States and Uzbekistan has expanded significantly in recent years. He highlighted that the attention paid by the Donald Trump administration and the reforms within Uzbekistan have played a crucial role in this process.

"You have opened your country to the world. Most importantly, you have embraced the United States and President Trump as partners," Rubio said, addressing President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The U.S. Secretary of State also expressed his gratitude to the co-chairs of the business and investment council—Sergio Gor and Saida Mirziyoyeva—for their contributions to fostering this partnership.

"Saida is an incredibly talented, intelligent, and hardworking individual," Rubio remarked.

He stated that cooperation between the two nations, as well as within the framework of the C5+1 format, serves to develop business ties by combining the capabilities of both the public and private sectors.
Rubio affirmed that the United States intends to further strengthen its partnership with Uzbekistan and the entire Central Asian region. It was also announced that Uzbekistan is being invited as an observer to the G20 summit, which will be held in the USA at the end of this year.
