Saida Mirziyoyeva Visits Kashkadarya

During her visit to the Kashkadarya region, Saida Mirziyoyeva inspected ongoing efforts toward the region's socio-economic development, as well as water supply infrastructure and the operations of a local narcology (addiction treatment) facility.

It was announced that work will begin on concreting the "Chap Tarmoq" (Left Branch) canal in the city of Karshi and landscaping the surrounding area. This project will ensure a stable water supply for 1,400 hectares of household plots. Additionally, recreational and walking areas—accessible around the clock—will be established for the 25,000 residents living in the four *mahallas* (neighborhoods) located along the canal.

During the visit, conditions at the regional narcology facility and the quality of medical care provided to patients were also assessed. Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized the goal of creating a comprehensive system—integrating disease prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation—that involves collaboration among specialists from various fields.

Furthermore, it was announced that a special program, developed in conjunction with local and international experts, is being drafted to fundamentally overhaul the field of narcology. Key objectives of this initiative include ensuring decent conditions for patients, providing high-quality medical care, and supporting their return to a healthy life.
