🍚 “Khorezm Rice” registered as a geographical indication

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Justice has officially registered “Khorezm Rice” as a geographical indication.

According to the ministry, rice grown in the Khorezm oasis is known for its high quality, distinctive aroma, and unique taste. This status provides legal protection for the product’s name, guarantees its origin and quality, and helps prevent unauthorized use.

The decision is also expected to strengthen Khorezm Rice as a national brand and promote it more widely in both domestic and international markets.
