On February 24, a 9-year-old boy was hit by a truck in the Balikchi district of Andijan region. According to the regional traffic police, the driver of a ZIL-130 truck hit a child who had run out of a pedestrian crossing and collided with a Cobalt parked at the intersection. The child, who received serious injuries, died in hospital despite the medical treatment provided. A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is currently underway.
