Zelensky urges foreign countries not to visit Moscow on May 9
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged foreign countries not to visit Moscow on May 9, in a message on his Telegram channel.
Zelensky expressed his distrust of Russia's "ceasefire" proposal and noted that the "silence regime" declared on May 6 was violated by Russia. He also criticized Russia for holding the May 9 parade and then continuing military operations, and urged foreign countries not to visit Moscow.
Russia, however, said that it had declared a unilateral ceasefire on May 8-9 and would respond to any possible attacks during the parade. As part of the increased security measures, additional air defense systems have been installed in Moscow.
