Zafarabad District Governor Seriously Injured in Road Accident
G‘ayratjon Eshpo‘latov, governor of Zafarabad District in Jizzakh Region, was involved in a road traffic accident in a company vehicle on August 30.
According to reports, the governor’s Kia Seltos crashed into the rear of a large truck. The vehicle was being driven by the governor’s school-aged son.
As a result of the accident, both the governor and his son were injured. The governor suffered fractures to his right thigh and left shin and is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. His son suffered a leg fracture and is in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
