Youth to be trained in high-demand professions for the modern labor market

Shavkat Mirziyoyev inspected the operations of the Khorezm Advanced Vocational Skills Technical School in Urgench and the "Vocational Town" established on its premises. Reports indicate that 72.4 billion soums were allocated from the state budget to establish the technical school. Spanning 5.2 hectares, the complex features two academic buildings with a combined capacity of 1,100 students, a 300-bed dormitory, a sports hall, a canteen, and modern training workshops. Specialists are trained based on advanced educational programs from Germany, Switzerland, the UK, China, and South Korea. For the 2026–2027 academic year, 200 young people were selected through examinations across 11 vocational fields.

The "Vocational Town" covers sectors such as transport and logistics, industry and construction, services, agriculture, and "green" energy. Operating in partnership with employers, the complex focuses on vocational guidance, practical skill development, and ensuring future employment for young people.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of providing high-quality training for youth in professions demanded by the modern labor market and expanding this experience to other regions.
