Young people who read the most books will receive a prize of 10.3 million soums

Every year in Uzbekistan, a competition is held among schoolchildren and students called "Top 100 Book Readers". 100 young winners will receive a cash prize of 10.3 million soums. The prize will be allocated from the funds of the Youth Affairs Agency.

Other measures to develop book reading have also been identified:

🔹 Increasing the level of book reading among young people to an average of 12 books per year
🔹 Increasing the use of e-book platforms
🔹 Widely involving young people in reading projects in rural and remote areas

In addition, the "Advanced Creator" award will be introduced from 2026. The best writers and poets will be awarded prizes of up to 82.4 million soums.
