Young Man Attempting Suicide Rescued in Tashkent
In Tashkent’s Uchtepa district, a young man who jumped into the Bozsuv canal was rescued by a patrol officer and a cadet from the Interior Ministry Academy. The incident occurred on July 2 during a youth festival. Hearing noise from the canal, law enforcement officers rushed to the scene and pulled the young man out of the water. He was given first aid and taken to hospital. Preliminary reports suggest that he attempted suicide after losing a large sum of money in online gambling. An investigation into the incident is underway.
