Young agronomists in Uzbekistan to receive salaries of up to $2,000 per month.

On the occasion of the Day of Agricultural Workers, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced support measures for young agronomists.
A total of 180 students from the Agrarian University will undergo practical training under a dual education system at advanced agricultural clusters and farming enterprises. Farmers and clusters will receive 5 million soums per student, while each student will be granted a scholarship of 1.5 million soums.

Young agronomists who gain sufficient experience will be assigned guaranteed employment in 167 districts across the country. They will help increase crop yields through the use of modern agricultural technologies and high-quality seeds. For this work, they will receive a monthly salary of $2,000.

In addition, a rating system will be introduced for cotton and grain farmers. High-performing farmers will be awarded additional points in the form of preferential loans and innovation certificates.
