You can buy cheap food in Dushanbe on Independence Day

Farmers from Sogd hold an exhibition of agricultural and industrial goods in the capital of the country dedicated to the 32nd Independence Day of Tajikistan

The exhibition started in Firdavsi Park in Dushanbe and will last until September 9.

Maruf Sharifyan, head of the agriculture department of the Sughd region, told Sputnik Tajikistan about this.

According to him, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited this exhibition in the morning.

At the fair, residents of the capital organized and exhibited agricultural products, handicrafts and folk crafts, as well as national dishes of the Sughd region.

Prices for goods and products presented at this fair are cheaper than in markets and stores, and are accessible to everyone, Maruf Sharifyan noted.

According to officials of the Sughd region administration, agricultural products at the fair are presented beautifully and unusually, which visitors will definitely appreciate.

Thus, guests will be able to purchase at low prices: melon, watermelon, pumpkin, potatoes, onions, carrots, beets, eggplants, sweet peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers, garlic, cabbage, rice, beans, peas, apricots, cherries, grapes, walnuts , pomegranates, peaches, plums, apples, pears, dried fruits, apricot pits and dozens of other types of agricultural products grown and produced in the region.

According to the authorities, the exhibition venue has turned into a festive event for residents and guests of the capital of Tajikistan.

Folk crafts were presented in a solemn atmosphere, and on the street you can listen to Tajik artists perform songs.

Sogd authorities also reported that farmers and regional authorities sent some of the food and industrial goods to the orphanage.
