Armenia is abusing the issue of humanitarian aid for its nefarious purposes.

According to Report, Azerbaijan's Permanent Representative to the UN Yashar Aliyev stated this at an open debate in the UN Security Council on the topic "Food insecurity caused by famine and conflicts."

"Azerbaijan condemns Armenia's consistent efforts to abuse the issue of humanitarian aid for its own nefarious purposes. The creation of the Lachin border checkpoint is an indisputable sovereign right of Azerbaijan, like the right of any other state to ensure the security and protection of its borders, to ensure the safety of the movement of people, vehicles and goods" , he noted.

The diplomat recalled that on July 6 this year, the International Court of Justice recognized Armenia's claims as unfounded, and at the same time unanimously rejected the country's demands for interim measures in connection with the Lachin BCP issue.
